Around this time it seems that on the whole births rather than baptisms were entered in the West Bridgford registers. Joseph SCREETON (S128) is given as being of Bassingfield (or "Basingfield") in these records, so I have assumed that this is where his children were born. Baptisms were recorded in the BTs, but not all of these have survived.
The surname is spelt variously SCREATON, SCREETON, SKREATON, SKREETON etc.
