Lower Halstow KEN
Registers survive from 1691; earlier baptisms, marriages and burials have been extracted from the Bishops' and/or Archdeacons' Transcripts, but these are missing from 1640-1661 and occasional other years. Because the earliest register is extremely difficult to decipher on film, I extracted entries from this using the original register book, and in addition, cross-checked all the Gallehawk entries up to and including 1731 against the BTs and/or ATs.

Milton next Sittingbourne (Milton Regis) KEN
Registers survive from 1538, but there are occasional gaps, some pages are hard to read, and burials 1657-1694 are completely missing. Entries 1653-1657/8 are Commonwealth registrations of births, marriage publications and burials, although these years and the following few do not appear to be complete. Because of the comparatively large number of entries in these registers, I have not been able to do a complete search, but have searched through baptisms 1658-1666 and 1782-1837, marriages 1647-1837, burials 1694-1837 and all of the Commonwealth entries. I found the other baptisms using a transcript of the register, but I have checked the details in the original (on film). I extracted burials for the period missing from the register from the Bishops' and/or Archdeacons' Transcripts, although these are themselves missing 1640-1662 and occasional other years.
Churchwardens' account books survive from 1607, and from 1694 these include lists of tenants and landlords. Overseers' account books survive from 1671 and include details of relief payments made to the poor of the parish. Parish settlement certificates survive from 1691 and removal orders from 1766.

Other Documents
These documents relate to defamation cases heard in the Canterbury Archdeaconry Court. I extracted the names and relevant details given below from the original documents, but as these were mostly written in Latin, I did not transcribe and translate the whole text of each. The first two documents appear to relate to the same case, and there seems to have been some suspicion that the witness had been paid to testify against the defendant. The documents are identified here by their reference numbers in the Canterbury Cathedral Archives catalogue.
